Gameplay Production and Design

My Projects

About Me:

In my final year currently studying Computer Gameplay Design and Production at the University of Staffordshire.

I am passionate about producing experiences that player's will enjoy and I aspire to work on games in Production and Design capacities.

I have an eagerness to develop and grow my skillset as much as possible and in turn passing on my knowledge where I can. I have recently been working at the Burton and South Derbyshire college doing just that by teaching learners about the fundamentals of game design as part of the Esports' games module there.

I enjoy working in teams and groups, working well as part of the group or - preferably - leading it. I am always looking for feedback and criticism of my work as part of my design process, not taking it to heart so that the final goal can be met in the best state possible.

Experience

Esports Lecturer - Game Design Module

Burton & South Derbyshire College - 2024/2025

Developed a basic curriculum to teach learners about the key game design principles and apply these to given briefs.

Delivered learners weekly tutorials in Unreal Engine teaching them the basics of Blueprinting and applying theory taught in slides.

QA/ Additional Design

BULLET - Luminary Interactive - 2023/2024

Worked weekly with the developer of BULLET to test new levels and features and assist in solving bugs, building mechanics as well as injecting further game polish and feel to create a more engaging product for release on Steam.

Summer Design Intern

Mantra - Rubyshark - 2023

Was tasked with developing puzzle mechanics for a new weapon/tool in the game. This later led to me staying on over the summer to generate level and encounter designs with direction from senior project members and pitching these in weekly meetings.
